About the Artist

Artist Barb Stork
Art inspired by Nature and Spirit.
Barb Mueller Stork has been making art since early childhood. Parents, Doris and Jack, passed down their love of poetry, art and nature to all the children. Stork also inherited a deep sense of spirituality from her father . From her mother, a maker, she inherited an intuitive sense of line and color . As an Air Force family, they moved often. The years in Japan proved to be the most influential. Woodblock prints by Japanese artists of the time such as Kawase Hasui were collected and greatly admired. The brilliance of these prints left a lasting impression on Stork.
Stork studied Fine Art at Sinclair Community College, Edgecliff College, and Wright State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude. Stork has worked as an artist and fine arts instructor at various institutions such as The Dayton Art Institute, Troy Hayner Cutural Center, and Rosewood Arts Center. She has participated in over 40 juried art exhibitions including “Emerging Visions “, an international juried art exhibition at the Ratner Museum in Bethesda. Maryland and “ The Mystical Work of Barb Stork” at the Missing Peace Art Space in Dayton Ohio.
